Bielat Santore announces two restaurant sales in NJ
Commercial real estate company Bielat Santore & Co. announced the sale of two restaurants this week.
Allenhurst-based restaurant and hospitality specialists have said in press releases that Luca Trattoria in Oakland will be reassigned to a medical practice, while Rumson House in Rumson has been purchased as a real estate investment.
Luigi “Luca” Testino and his wife, Elizabeth Testino, the former owners of Luca Trattoria, are retiring after nearly 50 years of business at 20 W. Oakland Ave. restaurant, Bielat Santore said. They plan to help their son operate the restaurant’s second location, in Warwick, New York.
The building will be converted into a CityMD emergency care medical clinic, the real estate company noted.
Meanwhile, Rumson House, which was sold as part of a 1031 Exchange, will see chef David Burke take over day-to-day operations, Bielat Santore said. The Ridge Road and Avenue of Two Rivers property will now be owned by an undisclosed buyer who runs a large commercial roofing company and invests in restaurants and other real estate.
The property will undergo renovations for a new look and will focus on approximately 30-60 days, with the renovated concept opening in the spring.
